JOB DESCRIPTION: To perform and oversee the construction aspects of the design/build company with Field Manager. To communicate daily with Field Manager regarding job coordination and administrative needs. Manage crew directly in-field and organization of job as daily discussed with Field Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To include the following:

FIELD:
• Follow directions of Field Manager; coordinate and negotiate delegation of project tasks.
• Direct and supervise the work of up to three crew members
• Perform work outlined on scope sheet
• Fine carpentry (decks, fences, planter boxes, etc.) and other landscape construction trades
• Irrigation system planning, installation and repair; outdoor lighting
• Grading; stone work
• Routine horticultural tasks including fine pruning, mulching, weeding
• Work with Maintenance Lead on maintenance sites performing tasks as needed
• Conduct regular Safety Meetings if needed by decision of Field Manager
• Maintain the whereabouts of all company property; keep storage organized and equipment repaired and in good order
• Interact with clients in a professional manner at all times, communicating to the Field Manager general information, client requests and concerns no later than the day after the site visit

ADMINISTRATIVE:
• Check in and out at the beginning and end of each work day with Field Manager and Admin
• Track crew hours
• Plan ahead for order placement and delivery and coordinate with Field Manager
• Communicate with clients, staff and crew if Field Manager is not available
• Notify Field Manager of any errors/incongruence/complications with design plans
• Notify Field Manager immediately of any errors/incongruence/complications with job proposal, and if any delays or postponements occur
• Maintain all invoices and receipts, specifying on each what job site they pertain to and submit to Field Manager
• Maintain immediate accessibility to design drawings for each current job
• Rely on SOP, Job Sequence for procedure of job completion
• Attend weekly crew/staff field meetings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Work outdoors, sometimes exposed to hot or cold temperatures
• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Repeat movements over and over
• Bend or twist their body
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
• Use fingers or hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
• Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
• Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
• See details of objects whether they are nearby or far away
• Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath
• Determine the distance between objects
• Speak clearly so listeners can understand, and understand the speech of another person

• Wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or ear plugs, depending on the job

• Are sometimes exposed to hazardous equipment
• Occasionally must work in very bright or very dim lighting conditions
• Are sometimes exposed to hazardous situations that produce cuts or minor burns
• Occasionally are exposed to whole body vibration, such as when using a jackhammer
• May work physically near others, usually within a few feet

JOB DESCRIPTION: To oversee and perform weekly maintenance tasks in established client gardens, and facilitate the growth of the maintenance department. The gardener will maintain an efficient process and prioritize weekly and monthly tasks to ensure the overall quality development of the garden.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To include but not limited to the following:

FIELD:
• Direct and supervise the work of up to three crew members
• Know and apply best horticultural practices and sustainability principles
• Perform skilled pruning, irrigation troubleshooting and repair, lawn care, plant culture and division, planting, sheet mulching, soil amending, and water conservation practices
• Complete the prescribed monthly maintenance checklist
• Maintain the whereabouts of all company property; keep storage organized and equipment repaired and in good order
• Perform maintenance tasks as scheduled and delegate projects to crew when applicable
• Work with Field Manager and Construction Lead on construction sites performing tasks as needed
• Coordinate scope, tools, and material orders with Field Manager and Office
• Interact with clients in a professional manner at all times, communicating to the office general information, client requests and concerns no later than the day after the site visit

ADMINISTRATIVE:
• Sign in and out of TSheets at the beginning and end of each day, and during lunch break;
• Switch between jobs and tasks in TSheets as needed, and complete the daily Maintenance Field Report
• Order and arrange for tool and material delivery; check office figures for accuracy; work with Field Manager and Construction Lead as needed
• Notify Suzanne Arca immediately of any errors/incongruence/complications with maintenance and construction tasks, and if any delays or postponements occur
• Maintain and report all invoices and receipts to Field Manager, specifying on each what job site they pertain to
• Maintain immediate accessibility to job project lists and update as needed for each current job
• Maintain and track maintenance schedule, tasks, overall performance of crew weekly
• Anticipate future projects and needs of maintenance jobs and plan accordingly with regards to materials, crew, and construction schedule constraints
• Manage Annex task assignments
